As with any typewriter, mistakes are often made and need to be corrected. The computer is perfect for me, but sometimes the computer just doesn't do what I want it to do. This is where the typewriter and correctable tape come in. These items are getting harder and harder to find so I usually buy more than one when I buy them. They are easy to install and the cost is not prohibitive. And there's something about sitting in front of a typewriter and typing. I've used a typewriter for about 60 years, but I still have a computer. And there's something about a typewriter with a correctable ribbon. As long as there are correctable tapes, I will continue to use the typewriter. But it's getting harder and harder to find this type of tape. I bought more than one when I bought them. Duct tape works for me and will continue to use them. Oh, they're easy to install. Just remove what doesn't work, dispose of properly, and replace with a new one. Easy.
