I got this monitor to extend my desktop on my work laptop. The package arrived impressively wrapped and protected. The instructions were easy to read. When I first plugged in the monitor, I didn't see any lights. I was afraid that I would either do something wrong or it would arrive damaged. I called 24/7 support but it went to voicemail. I then did some research and discovered that my HP EliteBook USB-C port does NOT transmit video. The solution was to connect USB-C for power and mini-HDMI for video. Both cables were included in the box, as was a standard USB-A to USB-C adapter. It wasn't even a few minutes after I got the monitor working my phone rang... it was the support team calling me back. I was very impressed because I didn't even leave a message. You must have mistaken me for a missed call. The representative asked me if I needed help, to which I replied that I was fine. He then greeted me to call if anything else came up. I will say it's great customer service! I was also impressed that after registering my email address I was given a 2 year guarantee as well as a 10% discount code. The overall brightness at full level seems more than sufficient. The stand was a bit tricky to figure out but it came with instructions. The top of the flap is magnetized so it is attracted to the top rear of the monitor. The rest of the flap is released to the outside. There are small rubber pads on the bottom edge of the monitor that prevent it from sliding forward. When closed, the lid only protrudes slightly over the edges of the monitor. It seems that they protect any surface from direct contact with the monitor. Although it covers it completely, I plan to get an actual carry case. Overall I am very satisfied with the monitor and the customer service. This gets 5 stars from me!
