Review on πŸŽ™οΈ OM Digital Solutions VN3100PC SEO-Enhanced Digital Voice Recorder by Trae Joubert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good recorder with good recording times.

I love this recorder. Its XHQ recording quality clarity is exceptional. However, lower quality settings (from HQ to LP) leave a lot to be desired. There is a slight floating noise at the HQ level, which increases when the quality setting is lowered to its lowest level. If only speech recognition is needed, you can use lower quality settings down to the lowest setting (LP). The XHQ setting is very good even for music recording. And with over 5 hours of recording in XHQ, that's all I need, so I never use lower quality settings. The recording sensitivity is very good. I use the HI setting most of the time, but even with the LO setting you can still hear most sounds in a small room. Especially after downloading it to a computer. Then the sound quality is greatly improved compared to the small built-in speaker. The sound of the speaker is also very good. Another great feature is the slow and fast speed controls. There is NO audio frequency shift for any of the settings. When you listen to music, the notes don't change at all. This is a rare but important feature as voices (or music) sound completely natural with no changes other than speed. Some devices that offer a stable speed change feature also produce some sort of click artifact that's annoying at best. The VN-3100PC does not have this problem. The resulting sound when changing speed (slow or fast) is just as clear as it is at normal speed. look around Smaller recorders are sold at significantly higher prices. rick
