pillowcase finishing and I have used Rit dye to get a dark blue color and cotton absorbs dye easily. All I have to do is stop the washing machine for about an hour and remember to give it about triple the mixing time (about 45 minutes) and I have a nice even color. I also made a set by just soaking without mixing and got an interesting pattern like that. This is NOT a plagiarism like so many others, it's not a "Series 1000" or anything. These are genuine 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. They won't feel soft until they're put on, but they're strong and tightly woven, giving them more weight than many sheets. Update: I ordered another set from an Amazon seller and received the so-called 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton, but I could immediately sense that they were much thinner than the actual sheets on the Luxor Treasure. Don't be fooled by sellers substituting other sheets! Be sure to read the label before accepting and washing a poor quality product!
