When I first started looking for a load resistor I saw this one everywhere. I saw reviews about heating, you can't mount it on plastic etc. They mean business, they get very hot. I haven't measured with a laser because I don't care, but I think they're probably in the 350-400 degree range. He literally burned my finger after a few minutes of blinking. They work, the hyperflash is gone, there is no warning light on the dash. But there are better options for less money, I haven't researched enough. For about $30 you can get 4 much better resistors that stay a lot cooler and if you're lucky you can use a relay rated for use. with LEDs, then no resistor is needed. I installed them right on the frame in the engine bay, but when it comes time to make taillights I don't have space to install them. I will buy a better set.
