I'm just a layman, but I have experience. I first bought a webbing strap which worked but was bulky and cumbersome. Decided to buy a Weaver saddle more out of passion for a new tool than real need. This has changed since it was first used. Inspection and buckling takes only a few minutes. It's handy when you're on the ground and even more so in the air. Very high quality. When you get to a branch that requires a chainsaw, attaching a safety line is so much easier that it's a lot safer than a harness (Yes, knowing better, tying the net was such an ordeal and so uncomfortable that I decided to often just relied on "ability" and flipline.) This saddle probably saved my life because I got the fuse right when a tree branch pulled the handlebars onto the flipline and snapped the saw chain. It was even handy when the rope got me to a stop - I guarantee that if I was tied the net would hurt me.If you're going to climb a tree, don't use anything other than this harness.Not once.The price difference is simple not a factor to consider.
