tall for its age (4ft 8in and 99lbs). It is true to size (which is what we usually buy for him) and is a bit long which I liked as it gives room to grow and for extra comfort. If you want your shirts to be very true to size or thin I would suggest going down a size. The fabric is a printed polyester but it's soft and smooth and my picky son loves wearing it. It has very little range for that. He chose a pattern (sunset sky with palm trees). Colors are bright but not super blinding/bright. It was the perfect shirt for him to wear to a luau party.
