The tailgate pillars on my wife's 2010 Santa Fe were starting to wear out. After banging my head a couple of times on a tailgate that wasn't fully open, I finally realized that the struts had had their day. These racks cost a lot less than others on the market but I believe they will certainly last another 2-3 years if we keep the car. It took me less than ten minutes to undo the 4 spring clips to remove the old posts and attach the new posts - it's an easy DIY project. To make the job safe and easy, be sure to place a ladder under the lift gate during the process.
