If you want to use a newer version of Pioneer receivers in your car, buy this micro bypass now! Don't even try other methods like relays etc. Before trying this micro bypass I tried a relay assembly that I found widely available on the internet. The pioneer likely fixed this workaround in its newer Receiver versions. It didn't work for me. This MicroBypass bypass was easy to install and started working immediately. I didn't want to watch the video while driving (which is illegal anyway). All I wanted to use was my AppRadio and other features with my iPhone 5s. Ridiculously, Pioneer rendered its new receivers useless with virtually no detours. My setup: 2008 Lexus RX400h with ML audio system and navigation Pioneer AVH-X8500BHS Pioneer AVHX8500BHS Dual DIN multimedia DVD receiver with Bluetooth and HD radio Metra ASWC-1 Stereo control harness Axxess Metra ASWC-1 Universal steering wheel control interface with new micro -B Connector (Black) Metra 70-8114 Steering Wheel Control Wiring Harness (Do not cut or splice factory harnesses) Metra 70-8114 Steering Wheel Control Wiring Harness with RCA for 2003 to present models, select Toyota/Scion/Lexus vehicles, Beat-Sonic RX- 82 kit (Revain doesn't sell it, buy it directly from BeatSonic) All in all, it's a must-have. It's a bit overpriced, but given the effort, time, and money to find a workaround, it's a worthwhile investment.
