The battery compartment is well designed with hard springs permanently installed. The AM and FM tuning circuits allow the user to fade in (fade in and out) the signals provided the chip design is analog and not DSP. Fair price $11.99. Not very good: no signals received on SW1 or SW2, possibly empty radio waves. The MW (AM) tuning ceiling is 1600 kHz. The sound from the AM/FM speakers is audible at low to medium volume, but not audible at high volume due to noise. An audible sound is best described as poor playback quality. The cabinet has no rear ventilation. Fine tuning is possible but requires dexterous fingers, translation requires a vernier. There is no additional headphone jack. No power LED. No adjustment LED.
