Review on ๐Ÿ“ป LEOTEC AM FM Radio - Portable Battery Powered Radio with Best Reception, 2D, Loud Speaker - Ideal for Elders and Home Use (Wood-Round Hole) by Missy Carter

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overview AM FM Radio Leotec LT-606B

Features: Small form factor, powered by two UM-1 (D-cell) batteries, powered by 1.5V alkaline and a 1.2V Halo for long-term performance. Secondary 3V DC input on top. The battery compartment is well designed with hard springs permanently installed. The AM and FM tuning circuits allow the user to fade in (fade in and out) the signals provided the chip design is analog and not DSP. Fair price $11.99. Not very good: no signals received on SW1 or SW2, possibly empty radio waves. The MW (AM) tuning ceiling is 1600 kHz. The sound from the AM/FM speakers is audible at low to medium volume, but not audible at high volume due to noise. An audible sound is best described as poor playback quality. The cabinet has no rear ventilation. Fine tuning is possible but requires dexterous fingers, translation requires a vernier. There is no additional headphone jack. No power LED. No adjustment LED. Other: 2.75" long internal AM ferrite rod antenna, 18" long external VHF SW telescopic antenna, 2.5" speaker diameter, 4ฮฉ2W labeled speaker, 15W labeled speaker grille, KT0936MB9 radio IC. Conclusion: This is a good low price A radio with long runtime for emergencies but for everyday listening and productivity consider topping up your budget with the Sony ICF-19.

  • Portable AM FM Radio; 88-108MHz FM; 530-1600kHz AM; With a long antenna, the radio has good reception ability.
