It fits exactly as others have said. But I had no problem NOT cutting the outer skin. Judging by other reviews, I only planned to heat the waterproof plug from the outside. To expand it a bit and make it more pliable. But I didn't need it. If you line up the arrows on the plugs/sockets and try to insert them perfectly straight, it becomes difficult. But if you tilt them slightly, insert one side first, then wiggle enough to insert the rest, then straighten them and connect. If your fingers are not strong enough, heat the outside of the bowl to make it pliable. Don't overheat! I have a wheel rover with an upgraded controller and found 300mm to be perfect for reaching the back of my trunk leaving an additional 3 inches for a brake light. As long as your existing brake cable from your controller is 20" long, 300mm is enough to go to the rear of the rack leaving 3" left.
