Review on 100W USB C Charger with GaN Tech - 4 Port Wall Charger, PD Charger for MacBook Pro Air, iPhone, iPad Pro, Galaxy, Dell XPS & USB C Laptop Devices by Heather Hernandez

Very impressive charger!

The charger is large and appears to be of good quality. I was able to charge a Macbook (USB-C), HP Envy (USB-C), and an iPhone (USB-A) at the same time. The charger read over 95 watts for a while. The charger only stayed warm and all devices charged at the same time. One odd behavior was that whenever a device was plugged in or unplugged, all devices would momentarily stop charging while the charger reconfigured itself. Not a big problem, but worth mentioning. One day my MacBook wouldn't start charging while I was testing this. It keeps driving / not loading. Disconnecting all devices and reconnecting them solved the problem. I think the charger just got a little confused when I was unplugging and plugging things back in during testing. I don't think this is a big problem, for some time both laptops and the phone have been charging with no problems. I was very impressed by the device. Many chargers do not allow you to charge with so many voltages and high currents at the same time. It has. According to my power meter, the charger fluctuated between 0.6 and 0 watts when the load was not powered. I think it's good. I found a disassembled unit that looks identical to this one. Looks pretty strong! The charger made no noise under any load. It was quiet. Impressive value for what you get!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
