It was easy to install and designed to work with multiple external outlets. Mine only needed one screw in the middle, but there are more if you have a different pattern. Overall, the mechanism or spring that holds the covers closed seemed very firm, which I feel is necessary to protect the elements, but I had trouble installing them. Then when you start thinking about what replaced it, be careful as your plastic becomes brittle in the sun as if it might slam and eventually crack. Although in this price range it is not so important. Our old one (different brand) became brittle after 8 years of owning the house but I don't know how long it was there before we bought the house. The weak point in it was the plastic part, which houses a spring mechanism that keeps the cover on the outlets.
