Useless junk that fits wall plates

Why even sell an outlet cover that doesn't fit GFCI outlets? This flimsy piece of plastic has only ONE mounting screw - and it's right in the middle of the two outlets - where the GFCI reset buttons are located. And even if you're using it on a non-GFI outlet, the covers don't open wide enough to stick a screwdriver in to secure it! It only cost $5 so I won't waste time returning it but junk is where it belongs and where it belongs.

Pros
  • That's awesome
Cons
  • Huge price

The electrician masters his task

what can I say, the socket cover. To be honest, it looks pretty flimsy at first glance. I bought this to replace an old metal that someone's dog ate. I was surprised to see how light it is. The fit was great - if you have to open and close the sashes a lot I don't know how well it will hold up. You can buy a more powerful socket if you intend to use the socket frequently. I don't really use an outlet and I just needed something to replace my old broken one. Let's see how well it holds up.

Fits perfectly: Electric

I've looked in several stores for a wall paneling cover like this with two separate covers but couldn't find any. They all only had one valve, and I didn't want that. The last one we had was metal and it fell apart when opening and closing. We haven't had that for a long time either. I like that this one is plastic. I hope it will stand up to the elements and normal use better than metal. We hung it vertically so it works when you don't have horizontal outlets. Would recommend and would buy…

leviton disappointment

i wired french guy bach's nursing home jupiter fl- talked to him about electric dimmers with crappy wire nuts nfg package (chinese metric screws) nfg-included in package. Eject them and insert the case screws. his company sells this product now.! The doors don't open 90 degrees and when I try it rips the plastic cover off the wall, what will happen in 5 years? The broken flip covers are off, so let's buy them to cover the device, right? allows the use of 4 corner screws - the best. With cheap…

Sturdy and easy to replace our broken

It was easy to install and designed to work with multiple external outlets. Mine only needed one screw in the middle, but there are more if you have a different pattern. Overall, the mechanism or spring that holds the covers closed seemed very firm, which I feel is necessary to protect the elements, but I had trouble installing them. Then when you start thinking about what replaced it, be careful as your plastic becomes brittle in the sun as if it might slam and eventually crack. Although in…
