Definitely works better on damp blonde hair. They do not provide color when the hair is dry. They are quite vibrant but fade quickly, for me it only lasted an hour or two with vibrant color on my blonde strands. I have no idea how they advertise this for three days. The color stays on your clothes and your hands when you touch your hair. They make your hair dry and chalky, but it's obviously chalky, so if you're expecting something different, you might want to try a temporary hair dye. The stick looks shiny but is not that noticeable on the hair. Overall, this is exactly what you would expect from a chalk pastel.
