These magnets are quite strong and work for what I bought them for. I came up with a weird configuration for my friend's iPhone 6s: My friend had a Casemate flip case with card slots that could also charge his phone, and he loved the idea. He could get rid of his wallet and still not worry about how charged his phone was. Unfortunately the tip of the lighted charging tip is broken in its charging port and case as it's just a wallet case that keeps the phone in place - the opposite is true if you need a protective case for your phone when it's is outside the folio. So I had to find a replacement for his charging case/purse for his birthday in October. The problem was they didn't exist so I had to make one. TechMatte® MagGrip metal plate replacement kit for universal magnetic car mount. The Smaiphone's battery compartment is very thin, so I took a chance to see if it would fit in the Dreem Folio case. When he opened everything up on his birthday he was very excited, he used one of the large rectangular magnets on the outside of the back of the smaiphone's battery compartment and it was able to stick to the Dreem Folio case. So I can't say he imagined the functionality of these interchangeable magnets, but I can say they are durable and able to hold his phone in place no matter how you flip the phone - although I did I wish they were a little stronger. hence the retention of one of the stars.
