Looks tough and durable. The espresso coffee corresponds to the photo. its darker brown with hints of purple wine. Really nice rich colour. Rounded edges are ideal for toddlers. The chair is a good height for my 3 1/4 year old daughter but I found the table to be too high. I put a small hard cushion on the chair so she could sit higher and use the table more easily. Some reviews recently said they were sent a set of original bolts as well as a set of corrected bolts. But we only received one set and the screw head is easy to remove when you want to tighten the legs. In some cases, the legs would not fully tighten and the screw head was stripped almost entirely. This is the only complaint. I hope the company will listen and resolve this issue. If so I'll go back and buy another set as it's a really good set made mostly out of solid wood!
