Bright colors so they are easy to see.
My desk is covered in sticky notes and because of all the colors I can now have a category for each one. Yellow is call backs, pink is follow up on PO, light blue is schedule a visit. You can use yours however you want but that is what I am doing. Nice about of sticky on back so you can hang them up and they wont fall back down.
