We really like the look of this blanket but it can't be washed or it will wrinkle and shrink forever. I washed and dried it on low heat before using it and now it's too small for the double bed it's on. It has evolved from a very flat weave with a highly visible windowpane pattern to a weave so pleated that the folds obscure the horizontal lines and now look more like a wide pinstripe. We love the look of the folds, but the fact that it's now too short to cover the mattress is a deal breaker. These are the kind of creases that no ironing will remove because the blanket is multi-layered - you only iron the creases. So buyers beware!
