I've been looking for a dish rack above the sink for a long time. The size of my sink and the distance between the countertop and the cabinet above the sink made everything unacceptable. I started looking for other options and then I saw this one. I have purchased Whitmor products in the past and have been very happy with them. and this is no exception. The ability to assemble the shelf and choose the height made it my best bet. I mounted a shelf, a few rings from the top of the shelves, which gave me the perfect height to mount a dish rack on top and place dishes and even pots on the shelf. There is extra space next to the sink that allows me to turn glasses, wide-necked water bottles, etc. upside down to drain the water directly into the sink. I also bought some YiwerDer 20-pack brushed metal hooks and steel hanging brackets that hold up to 10 pounds (small size) to place in strategic places to hang a measuring cup, spoon, and dish brush. I was also able to use the OPCC Detachable S Hooks 20 Pack Stainless Steel Silver Extra Small Heavy Duty Steel S Hooks for Plants Garden Tools Enamelled Black Metal Holds up to 40 lbs. Includes installation hardware for each kitchen + 1 pc. Opcc sticky notes for hanging drain gauze bags. File clips ACCO Binder Clips, Medium, 2 boxes, 12/box (A7072050) or similar make it easy to dry freshly washed gauze, tea towels etc over the sink. TLDR: This multipurpose shelf allows me to efficiently use the "airspace" in my kitchen, leaving my countertop clean and free for actual meal prep.
