Review on Broan 403023 Black Ducted Range by Matt Woodward

When I was looking for a cooker hood I didn't expect to find it at Revain. But to my delight, Revain has hoods! I was looking for a functional range hood that wouldn't break the bank as I had already spent a lot of money on a new fridge and stove. My new appliances are from Frigidaire, so I thought I'd buy a range hood from this brand. However, upon reviewing the various hoods, I agreed with one reviewer who noted that the Frigidaire hood lacks a finished look on the underside. I noticed that this Broan hood has a nice finished look and doesn't break the bank. It was $40 cheaper than the Frigidaire brand, and knowing that Broan is a great fan brand (I have one in every bathroom), I thought I'd pull the trigger. My technician installed the hood (removing the old one first) in less than 30 minutes. He didn't even have to turn off the power! The black hood looks very nice with the black smooth top of my stainless steel series. I think that really makes it stand out, even more so than the stainless steel range hood. The fan and light are just as functional as the old one I replaced due to the color and it was so old it was time to send it to the hood graveyard. If you have doubts about this hood, take a chance. I'm glad I did! I had peace of mind that if I didn't need the hood or it was damaged in any way I could return the hood to Revane for their money. Ultimately, time will tell if a range hood was a good choice. But like I said, Broan is a good name for the fans, so I was willing to take the risk.
