I know the general consensus is that the Certain Dri Roller version is better, but those of us with sensitive skin that's prone to irritation can't agree really rely on this option. . Thankfully, the hard version worked great for me. I get absolutely no irritation or any nasty side effects. A solid product works just as well as a roll-on, but it depends on the person and it will take time to control your excessive sweating. 6. And even then, I only noticed a small change for the better over the next few days. However, after about a week, there was a drastic change and after about 2 weeks of nightly use, my armpits were completely dry - all day, every day, under all circumstances. I've reduced the number of movements to 4 per arm, but still every night and I no longer have to worry about discomfort from excessive sweating. In the mornings after my shower I also use an antiperspirant/deodorant (Old Spice Sweat Defense) and the combined effect keeps my armpits dry and smelling nice. You have sensitive skin or have had to stop using the roll-on version - and use it for at least 2-3 weeks before deciding it's not for you.----------*4/ UPDATE 8 /12 * : Well after using this product for so long I have to say it has held up pretty well. Now I do 4 armpit movements every night because I think it's the best way to control sweat. This product is truly a life saver for those of us with excessive armpit sweating. ------------*UPDATE 08/27/12*: Approximately 4 months since my last update and the Certain Dri Stick solid betrayed me. After doing a pretty good job for about 5-6 months, its effectiveness against my excessive sweating has diminished to the point that I may not even wear it anymore. For this reason I am deducting 1 star from my previous rating. The solid can still work well for people who have a much less severe problem of excessive sweating. I did what most people seem to suggest and bought the roll-on version despite my hesitation due to my sensitive skin. I'm happy to report: so far, so good. I've only been using the ball for 2 nights but I've noticed that it already works a lot better than the hard one. If, like me, you have doubts about trying the roll-on or not, I can't stress this enough: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM CAREFULLY. So many people who have posted about irritation and rashes don't follow directions and apply a roll-on after bathing or shaving their armpits that will sting you like a wasp's nest under the armpit. I currently apply Certain Dri Roll-On before bed (as directed) and regular Old Spice deodorant (no antiperspirant to keep my white shirts from getting yellow aluminum stains) in the morning after my shower. I just hope the video holds up over the long haul. More updates to come.----------*UPDATE 9/21/12*: After using the Certain Dri Roll-On for almost a month I have to say I am very pleased with the results. The ball was much more effective than the bat and I didn't have any of the negative side effects that some people have. I hardly sweat even when I work out in the gym. It took me about a week and a half to two weeks before I noticed a dramatic decrease in armpit sweating. I still wear it every night but if I'm completely comfortable I can experiment with it every other night etc. I wrote a detailed review of the video and posted it on this product page. I'm very happy to have finally found something that works. ----------- *UPDATE 7/3/14*: Not sure if anyone cares anymore but thought I'd update and say I've stopped stick and Roll to use - he for a long time. I still think the ball roller works a lot better than the bar, but somehow my body chemistry has changed and I no longer have the sweat issues that I had at the time of writing this review. I still highly recommend this product for people who sweat excessively - it's a life saver. On the other hand, I caution against long term use of this product as the aluminum present can have potentially harmful effects. Aluminum also stains your white shirts with yellow armpits; Because of this, I had to throw away a lot. Fin.
