Review on High Sierra Laptop Backpack Charcoal by Tonya Brown

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Unreliable/Short Lifespan

Why this case? thanks to the Everki lifetime guarantee. The Titan's zipper failed after a year of weekly flying and touring around the US. They were looking for a cheaper replacement and found this High Sierra backpack and thought it was a smart purchase. Short Life, No Durability: I loved this backpack and it had so much potential. I received this bag at the end of July 2017, at the end of August 2017 the bag started to fall apart. Heavy Duty: I travel weekly for errands that put every backpack to the test every day. Didn't expect the stitching to unravel so quickly, very disappointing. Return: Too late to return to Revain so I'm trying the manufacturer. The design of the backpack is great with a few exceptions. Some cons: the backpack doesn't stand up on its own, it tilts forward when needed to figure out where and how to put the bag in, otherwise you'll have to lift it up. Since there are no pads on top, computers will be damaged if the bag falls and hits the top of the bag. Lack of internal organizational pockets: It's very difficult to see the inside of the bag, especially deep inside, so have a flashlight if you want to find smaller, darker items at the bottom of the main compartment. Some useful things: I love the zippers and main compartments, and I liked the separate zippered compartment for the iPad, which makes it easy to find and quick access while still providing great protection.

Pros
  • TSA Compliant Design: The case opens and lays flat so you can pass through airport security without having to remove your laptop
