I mostly run at Saucony and before that at Brooks. But occasionally I add a few Asics to the mix, maybe just to see if they really work. To say I've had mixed results with Asics would be an understatement. But I bought a pair of Kayanos about a year ago and they were one of the "success stories" so I thought I'd go for the second round. Ah, it's like other shoes! While the previous version was roomy in the toe box, this version feels like a blood pressure cuff. And of course, it made me keenly aware of the stitching on the upper which, judging from previous Asics experiences, was just waiting to rub against the toe of my foot. But we won't find it because they were boxed and sent back. I'm not saying I don't have this problem with incompatible Saucony insoles and socks. But Asics takes it to a whole other level. I just don't understand why sneaker manufacturers can't make products in the same size. :(
