Better than original
I needed a few more of these as I have a macro rail and another camera. Instead of taking it off and putting it back on I could easily change what I was using. This is the best design for assembly as the D-ring is already on the screw. The original needed a coin to turn the screw into what I was trying to attach. The coin option is also available on the new one, but the D-ring is much more comfortable and not flimsy. This mount is solid and fits perfectly.
