I really appreciate that this model is made in the USA and I hope to see more from New Balance of their production I find it difficult to find shoes that really fit my narrow foot. Sometimes the best thing I can do is lace them up tight enough to keep the heel in place, and that's true of these New Balance hiking shoes. I used to have NB shoes and they weren't that wide. The toe box is very wide, which leaves more than enough room if I want to wiggle my toes. :) The color is much lighter than on the website but they look very nice despite being more of a "summer" color than an all season color. However, I will wear them because I need shoes. They would probably go well with thick winter socks, but it would look really goofy with light-colored shoes and be uncomfortable in warmer weather. I bought them once at a reduced price and that's another reason I kept them.
