This mount has served me well when shooting time lapse videos in the car. However, the most important part failed several times before I fixed it with CA glue. Since then everything has been running smoothly and I am sure that the OEMs have chosen the adhesive method with budget in mind. I'm not sure if it was music in the car, bumps in the road, or just the stiffness of the mount itself, but the picture I got of using it as a poor man's suspension was pretty shaky. Not many issues with time-lapse, but I can see it's an issue for some people. Haven't tried removing it from the dashboard to see what marks it leaves, but I don't feel like doing it at the moment.
