I have to remember that I got these as a replacement for my ski glove liner. My old balaclavas and fingers got reinforced too, and I kept them detached from my gloves all the time, but lost one. They're not very warm on their own, but will provide some relief on slightly chilly days. Fingertips for texting are much better than the "padded" fingertip glove style. This type of tip covers the entire fingertip, allowing you to run your finger along the edge of your finger and even the back of your nail. and it will still work.
