Great headlight for a snow blower.

When installing this LED on a snow thrower, first make sure the original halogen bulb is 27W or more (because if it's not at least 27W you could burn out the headlight circuit). Inspect and test the headlight circuit to determine if it is AC or DC. MOST snow blower headlight circuits are AC powered which causes the LEDs to flicker horribly. Generally only if you have a snow thrower with an onboard battery is there a DC circuit to connect the LED light and there is no flickering/flashing light. Even if your halogen snow blower headlight was halogen, that doesn't mean you have a DC circuit - halogen bulbs can run on AC or DC and will not flicker on AC because the filament can't cool fast enough. for your perception of flicker, and the LED may flicker when switching AC power. CHECK the headlight circuit on the snow thrower first to make sure it is indeed an AC circuit which means you will need to install a bridge rectifier along with a smoothing capacitor. Some LED fog lights fail prematurely when connected to AC, and even fail when connected to an unstable DC circuit (with no smoothing capacitor between it and the bridge rectifier). A DC circuit involving a battery, which is a very stable DC circuit. Any questions about installing this light on a snow thrower? Here is a link to a thread that answers many installation questions.
