The lens is definitely from the category of "must have", if such a focal length suits you in principle. I shoot mostly family, at home and on the street. Portraits are excellent, the focus misses very rarely, the aperture allows you to ignore sometimes poor lighting (cloudy weather, electric light in the room). Yes, you have to work with your legs, but you can’t run away with such a focal length. But the result justifies itself! A fix is ​​a fix. In general, I am very pleased with the lens. I use with canon 550d. The crop does not bother you at all, just take a couple of extra steps away from the object. I consider the current cost of this lens to be quite acceptable and affordable for any owner of a DSLR. I don’t see the point of adding another 30 thousand and acquiring 50mm f / 1.2L .
