I recently had an ankle problem and my podiatrist recommended wearing a compression splint for pain relief. I tried different devices to find the best solution for my specific needs. First, the inner support is infinitely adjustable and provides just the right amount of support I need. Picking up the outer packaging was a little tricky at first, especially since the product didn't come with any instructions or any sort of manual. I had to rely on the visual aids that accompanied the description on this page to figure out the best way to wear it. The bandage increases compression and also helps keep the bandage in the correct position. I was hoping it would still be thin enough to wear in my shoes, but unfortunately that didn't happen. The volume at the top of the ankle is too big, so I walk barefoot when wearing it. This means I don't wear braces as often as I should. Again, while the product does provide some of the support I need, the fact that I can't wear it under shoes makes it impossible to wear for normal activities. For this reason I am deducting a star. I like the orthosis, but I'm still looking for the best solution for my personal needs.
