I bought this for my D3300 and it goes well with a small lens (18/55 or 50mm) as well as a 70-300 next to it. The cover is sewn well. What I don't like is the clasp. The Velcro isn't as secure as we'd like and tends to open. I used this for a while but ended up replacing it with a Tenba BYOB 9 insert. It's almost the same size but has a zip closure, an interior zip pocket and a few extra side pockets. Tenba costs 3x what I paid for it, but for me it's worth it. It's not a bad case, however, if you want to leave it open or don't mind a velcro strap.
