In short, it kills many mosquitoes and flies very well in the dark. However, when it's sunny outside, this doesn't work. ADVANTAGES - Kills mosquitoes, moths and flies in the evening - Some killed bugs actually fall off - You can hear when the bug is nailed - Can be used indoors and outdoors - WARNING: The plug does NOT have ALCI disconnection protection against electric shock. CONS - Not effective on sunny days as the bugs don't necessarily see the blue glow - It can be a little painful to brush dead bugs off the lightning rod with a small brush. Be sure to disconnect the plug from the power source to avoid electric shock. The plug has NO ALCI open circuit protection and no electric shock protection. It would be very careful to use it outside, especially when it's raining. Either way, make sure you plug it into a GFCI outlet! Hearing the bug bar can be uncomfortable for some people. Overall, this zapper works great in the evenings, although mosquitoes can still bite you.
