Disappointed with shoes

We had these shoes for two years and they were great so I bought a new pair for my daughter when they wore out. But the quality seems to have gone down. The suede material inside was neither smooth nor pretty. It looked worn straight out of the box and looked like it had been given a black but matte finish in places. Also, my daughter said the heel pad is not very generous.
