This is the car you should buy if you drive a car like my 66 F100 Custom Cab Fleetside. The rubber boot is very flexible, soft and stretches when you need height. HOWEVER, I recommend that you take the time to test it out on all areas unless you are placing it on a VERY flat metal surface, or add some sheet metal to level the base. Be careful when shifting and drill the center holes first and check the shifting in all areas. It also matters how high the shoe sits on the stick if you want to avoid ripping and tearing the shoe. No matter how much time and effort you put into booting and drilling (unless the metal base is completely flat!), applying a thin layer of chrome plated metal will still move the corner holes 1/4 inch. these last. I know there are Hurst maniacs who want the base fairing plate to be THICK. It doesn't, so don't over-tighten the screws (included) or you'll dimple. For $35 this is the best solution I've found and should work for a while. I'm off-road and it looks like the time spent truing the wellie has kept wear and tear to a minimum. The instructions show how to attach the cover to the carpet. everything fits me on my bare, uneven metal.
