Review on KBNI Hydration Backpack: Lightweight Water Pack with 2L Bladder, LED Safety Light – Ideal for Outdoor Activities by Steve Guillen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very important. Leaves a lot to be desired.

Advantages: The backpack is light and offers a lot of storage space - ideal for every adventure. Holds two liters of water, which is enough for long tours. fit. Some reflective surfaces for nighttime visibility. (see image) Cons: The flashlight that comes with it is mostly electronic junk and doesn't come with the specific battery it needs. As a cyclist this pack fits over my high visibility vest and actually reduces my visibility at night. The hydration pack is only separated from the user by a thin mesh. If you use ice in the reservoir, the moisture from the air will condense and get your back wet. Other information: The drinking tube was severely kinked and completely interrupted the flow of water during use. This can easily be fixed by immersing the test tube in boiling water for 5-10 seconds. Make sure the boiling water gets into the pipe. (See photos for results) The valve is overly complicated and can be difficult to operate while cycling. It has a dust cover, push-pull valve and bite valve. I leave the dust cap off and the push-pull valve open for ease of use.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Quality
