Great with onions and potatoes!

I purchased this item 7 months ago in Arugula. I used it today and just realized I never wrote a review for it. I bought this chopper mainly to chop onions. I hate hate chopping big onions! Not only is it time consuming, but I cry like a baby when I chop onions, and I almost always need onions in my cooking. So I was thrilled when I discovered this product! After 7 months this chopper is holding me up quite well, although I noticed a slight anomaly in the string tension today, it didn't pull all the way through within 2 seconds but worked when I tried again. Pros: - Great chopper for tough veggies like onions and potatoes. If you see my two before and after pictures of chopped onions, it literally took me 7 seconds to chop them up into small pieces (I counted seconds). I'm not an athlete at all and I have moderately strong women's hands. Chopping onions by hand takes me several minutes, including pauses, to cry and dry my eyes. - Ever since I've been able to quickly chop onions with this chopper, I haven't cried anymore - I've washed all the parts of this chopper and it's never given me any problems. That's important to me because I don't like manual cleaning either. So I can just put all the parts in the dishwasher and forget about them. Storage: This is a small paper shredder that can be easily hidden anywhere. Or you can put it on the counter somewhere as it looks aesthetically pleasing. - Guide: This may or may not be a pro for you. However, I have so many kitchen appliances that need to be connected and I have a limited number of connection points in my kitchen. So it's a relief to have a product that doesn't require electricity. Cons: - While I like this shredder, it's certainly not versatile. Small vegetables are not chopped properly. For example, I had no luck with chopping garlic. When it comes to garlic I have to use a garlic press. It also won't chop wet veggies. I once tried my luck with a tomato and failed. You need to pull the thread a little, which fits most ladies. However, this can be a problem for the elderly, those with arthritis, or those with weaker grips, etc. - For those of you who hate putting items in the dishwasher, this grinder becomes an extra dishwashing item after each use. Or for those of you who clean dishes by hand, this chopper becomes an additional item for manual cleaning after use. You also have to be very careful not to cut your hands when cleaning the blades. When pulling the string to chop, don't be afraid to pull the string about 7-10 inches from the grinder. I've found that cutting is better when the string is pulled farther. However, do not pull the thread too quickly. I suspect the string is not of the most durable quality and could damage the string. Ultimately, I'm very happy with this chopper as it met my two main needs (one that chops onions quickly and one that doesn't require a power connection). ). I recommend this chopper but make sure you know that this chopper is not universal and has its pros and cons. I hope my review was helpful to you.
