The carbon bristles are very soft but clean and seem to last a long time. My dentist advised me to use a softer brush and yesterday's check up went very well. I've been using this brush for about a month. The handle is light and strong, appears to be mold resistant. This is a nice change from traditional plastic toothbrushes. Each brush is individually wrapped in paper, like chopsticks in some restaurants. Definitely better than plastic packaging. The only downside is the fact that these brushes cost more than twice as much as many other bamboo/charcoal models. It's hard to say what the difference might be.
