Our son is two years old and the hat fits him well. The neck is well protected, but in my opinion the neck protection could be a bit wider so that his cheeks are also protected a little more. The screen could also be a bit larger to protect the face even better. The hat dries very quickly, making it ideal for wearing in the pool or in the sea. Our son has a normal big head and I don't think he can really wear the hat beyond next summer. The hat is already quite snug and can only be tightened with the elastic band, but unfortunately not bigger.
