Good quality. I wear makeup maybe once a week unless I work register at work so I''m not a makeup know-it-all and I don''t own a ton. My sister is a makeup fanatic (only goes to Ulta or Sephora) and she got mad over how nice they were for the price. If she is impressed, I''d say it''s a good deal. I didn''t get a carrying case for it, but I don''t remember if that was promised. It''s not a big deal to me. It comes with an individual plastic sleeve over each brush so the bristles are protected. I would say the set is worth it, even though I don''t know what half of them are for.
