NOTE. This device will not work if your water contains more than 1 ppm iron or 0.1 ppm manganese. The device is not waterproof and must be covered if the temperature does not exceed 55 degrees C. Temperature peaks on water heating elements should not exceed 95 degrees C (limescale deposits on hot surfaces such as kettles). This is a descaler. It converts lime dissolved in water into lime crystals. Limescale crystals wash away with water and appear as a fine powder that is easier to wipe off, instead of the stony limescale deposits of untreated water. The conversion of dissolved lime into lime crystals produces carbon dioxide, which becomes carbonic acid in the water. Carbonic acid gently dissolves hard deposits in pipes. The purified water lasts about 2-7 days and then reverts to its untreated state, requiring draining or repurification within that period. This product is designed to help reduce limescale build-up. Instructions: Wrap the two impulse cables tightly in two cylindrical sleeves around the pipe. There should be no gaps between the wraps, but the two impulse cables should be at least 1/2 inch apart on the pipe. The device is suitable for metal or plastic pipes with a diameter of up to 1.5 inches. Choose the program for your pipe type (metal or plastic) and size (up to 1" or up to 1.5").
