Review on Oggi 10-Piece Stainless Steel Cocktail Shaker Set by Andrew Krishna

I bought this item for Christmas 2012 as I was an aspiring home bartender and wanted to play around with the different mixes I enjoy making. Some parts of this bar set are good while others are just useless. Let's start with the bad: No professional bartender uses a handle jigger because it's an awkward way to pour and measure alcohol. A standard double-sided measuring spoon is much easier to hold and use when measuring alcohol. The stirrer is also a bit odd here. Instead of the traditional bar spoon, you get this fun gadget that gets the job done but is less versatile. However, the tongs are fine and the shaker (glass, metal cup and filter) works great. It's a little tasteless to have drink recipes on the page, but exposure to a hot dishwasher gets rid of it. It was an accidental find, but my loss is your gain. A cutting board is also handy for slicing lemons and limes. You'll probably do better with Revane if you can find a bar knife, shaker set, and bar spoon. Much luck!
