The adhesive didn't match both ends of the cable. We used 3m of Command Velcro to attach it to the wooden headboard and some glue to attach the other end to the bed remote. The remote is so rounded that the factory adhesive pad can interfere. There seems to be a magnetic component there. So when the remote is close to the base, the magnet will pull it in for a perfect fit to the base. If you drop the remote control. It's ok, just grab the cable and pull it back. You no longer have to get up in the middle of the night to find the remote control under the bed and wake up fully. I am very satisfied with this product.
