Although the adhesive is quite tacky and sticks well to the phone, the retractable rubber component holding the drive pops out immediately after pulling 4 out of 5 times. Within the first week of use I learned that to screw it back in place I had to put the socket back into the hole and ritually screw it down. The guy defeats the purpose of a handy phone holder if you have to reattach it after each use. Not sure if the rubber piece is too stiff, needs extra force to lengthen, or the connection between the rubber and the adhesive backing is too loose, but more trouble than good. I received a free pop socket as a bonus with a separate purchase and it worked much better and lasted much longer.
