Bad writing surface, it bleeds.
Tried a black sharpie (below) and a purple gel pen (above). Both had blood problems. But Sharpy was worse. So I'm deducting 2 stars. They're small, but that's to be expected. There is one larger size available. But I would really prefer a writing surface that could work with the marker without the bleeding happening. It was a disappointment.
