I really wanted these shoes to fit my child who doesn't wear socks but needed a hot weather shoe that would do well for water play and regular use. I was hoping for a description of a shoe made out of good but soft material that wraps around the ankle. The shoes are very cute and stylish, but after wearing them in wet weather, she cut the back of her heels. I took off my shoes before full blisters formed on the skin. Of course, she couldn't return the shoes after putting them on, but she couldn't wear them again unless she put on thick socks, which defeated the purpose of the purchase.
