Uneven Insulation Thickness

I bought a 4/0 to connect the battery to a 3kW inverter/charger. The cable is very flexible which is great but note that the thickness of the insulation is not the same on the part I received. This resulted in me having to cut off a few copper strands on the first cut. Be aware of this issue. Note that I also ordered 4/0 Black and the insulation was more even and much better overall. Maybe my section came from a random batch.
