I work in a corporate environment where I don't have access to a computer to change standby settings. The default time set on my PC is too short. My job also involves watching lots of PowerPoint presentations and conference calls. It has happened so many times in the middle of my meeting that my computer times out and locks me up. I then have to spend another five minutes logging in and reconnecting to all the databases, including the VPN. The last thing I need right now when I'm working from home is to worry about something equally stupid. A colleague of mine bought this device a few days ago and recommended it to me. And let me tell you, it was a life saver. Wow! I never knew such a thing existed! I mean why didn't I buy this sooner! There are so many things I love about this device. First, the design is incredibly beautiful. I like to keep my desktop clean and clutter free. This device looks very stylish and modern and fits perfectly in my workspace. Secondly, a small bezel on the edges of the device ensures that the mouse does not fall out of the device when moving. This is very important as I've seen some other mouse pads that didn't have this feature. Third, I wanted to make sure that the device didn't install any unwanted software on the PC. I don't have admin rights on my PC so this wouldn't work. Fourth, I love supporting American made products and this was the only product I could find that wasn't just made in America. Sure, it's a bit pricey compared to some other foreign-made competitors, but I love the fact that I can contact local customer service if I run into any issues. And the five-year warranty is amazing. I mean what other company you know currently gives a 5 year warranty on their products?! I think it would make an awesome Christmas present for some of my colleagues! Beautiful and functional!
