Installed these LED bayonet bulbs in place of DE3175 bulbs in my door (open door warning light), roof/dome and trunk lights. What is the difference in the intensity and amount of light. I tested it in a dark garage last night and the interior lit up like daylight when I turned off the CodeAlarm system. The deactivation dome light function comes in handy when you return to the car in the dark. Illumination of the entire interior of the car to ensure that nobody is inside. The old bulb lit up, but its soft amber light (lower intensity since the floor is provided by the CodeAlarm system, not the switches on the door jambs) wasn't bright enough to illuminate the car's interior. Not so with LEDs. A bright light (almost too bright) that filled the car with light. Ideal. The same applies to the trunk lighting. Most of the lights in the trunk are like night lights in the hallway. You know they are there, but you do nothing to light the way. An LED lamp illuminates the entire trunk so you can see and be seen. This is a plus when changing wheels at night. Keep the trunk open and increase the security of cars approaching you when changing a tire. Good bulbs, bright light, great price. highlighted.
