Review on Red Devil 3710 Graining Tool by Eddie Simpkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great and easy to learn

Shown is a piece of flat MDF chipboard. I spray painted it blue and then covered it with a thin layer of white acrylic to keep it from drying out. You'll start at the top and move the grain tool (which looks like a rubber stamp with a curved surface) back and forth as you drag it down to create the look of wooden planks. It was my first time and I didn't have to repeat it. Great tool for beginners, great alternative to wooden boards. It is impossible to create the end of a board without lifting it off the surface unless you draw a line by hand.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
